Solubility
Solubility estimates whether a protein sequence is likely to remain soluble under typical experimental handling.
What It Does
The oracle helps researchers compare natural proteins, variants, and generated designs for aggregation risk before synthesis or expression.
Why It Matters
A protein can have the right function and still be hard to use if it aggregates. Solubility prediction helps teams prioritize candidates that are more likely to survive cloning, expression, purification, and assay development.
Intended Use
Use Solubility as a developability screen for candidate proteins, especially in design campaigns with many variants.
Limitations
Solubility depends on expression host, construct boundaries, tags, buffer, temperature, concentration, and purification protocol. This oracle is a triage signal, not a replacement for expression and solubility testing.
