# Synthyra > Advanced AI screening for biosecurity. Synthyra finds sequences of concern that current DNA synthesis screening misses, and predicts which host proteins a pathogen acts on. Both services run on Atlas, Synthyra's protein AI platform, and every service is an API. Synthyra is a Public Benefit Company in Newark, Delaware, USA. Contact: info@synthyra.com. Program and pilot conversations start at https://synthyra.com/programs and account or API support at https://synthyra.com/contact ## Who it is for - DNA synthesis providers who want a second screen beside the list-based screen they already run. Start at https://synthyra.com/programs?program=biosecurity - Government agencies and biosecurity programs that need screening for sequences of concern, or a ranked map of how a pathogen acts on a host. Start at https://synthyra.com/programs - Researchers who use protein interaction, ligand and annotation predictions through the web app or the API. Each flag carries its reason. Status: active program, in beta; no detection performance is published yet. The page also carries the Unobserved Share Index, a cited estimate of the share of synthesis orders that no reviewer sees, with its full methodology. - [Host-pathogen interaction prediction](https://synthyra.com/host-pathogen): Atlas scores every protein of a pathogen against every protein of a host and ranks the contacts a laboratory should test first. Status: active program; cross-species scoring is available through Atlas today. Predictions are hypotheses to test, not measurements. - [Atlas platform](https://synthyra.com/atlas): protein-protein interaction, protein-ligand interaction, functional annotation and proteome-scale analysis, in the web app and through the API. Status: operating. - [Partner programs](https://synthyra.com/programs): where a pilot or program conversation starts. A scientist replies within two working days. No sequence is requested on that page. ## For developers and agents - [API reference](https://synthyra.com/docs): every service is an HTTP endpoint at https://api.synthyra.com with an API key. The web app uses the same calls. - [Models](https://synthyra.com/models): model cards for Atlas and the open models behind it. - [Open source](https://synthyra.com/initiatives): FastPLMs and Protify, on GitHub at https://github.com/Synthyra - [For agents](https://synthyra.com/agents): how to use this site and this file. ## Evidence - [Research and news](https://synthyra.com/research): papers, blog posts and announcements. - [Atlas host-pathogen interaction report](https://synthyra.com/research/papers/atlas-host-pathogen-report) - [Protein language models are accidental taxonomists](https://synthyra.com/research/blog/accidental_taxonomy): why cross-species negatives let a model cheat, and how Synthyra trains around it. - [Demos](https://synthyra.com/demos): interactive views and narrated sequences built from real runs of the models. ## Company - [Our vision](https://synthyra.com/vision): one protein model under every service, and design programs scored on the whole system after biosecurity. - [Team](https://synthyra.com/team): David Bichara (CEO), Logan Hallee (CSO), Braydon McCormick (COO, Business Development), and advisors. - [Terms of service](https://synthyra.com/terms): use of the platform to design, optimize or test agents intended to harm human health, agriculture or the environment is prohibited. ## How to read this site Headlines are written for a non-technical reader; the technical detail is further down each page. Numbers on the biosecurity page are cited inline and in a methodology section. Where a page says a result is a prediction or is illustrative, treat it that way. Synthyra does not publish detection performance for the screen until it has been evaluated, and does not describe ways to get a sequence past a screen.
